BIOGRAPHY
Frieda Toranzo Jaeger (b.1988, Mexico City) currently lives and works in . Following a BA in Fine Art at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste (HFBK) in Hamburg, German, Toranzo Jaeger pursued an MFA at the same institution in 2019.
With work themed around driverless cars, cosmic travel, queer ecstasy and lush vegetation, Mexican artist Frieda Toranzo Jaeger enmeshes kitsch and catastrophe, erotica and agitation. Through her dynamic and modular paintings, Frieda Toranzo Jaeger proposes a futurity of queer freedom, connection to nature, and the creation of new spaces of joy and pleasure.
