Nancy Lupo (b. 1983, Flagstaff) currently lives and works in Los Angeles. In 2007, she received her BFA from the Cooper Union. In 2011, she received her MFA from the Yale University.
Lupo’s work draws attention to our presence among everyday materials, spaces, and objects that are often overlooked but deeply affect our understanding of the world. She explores ambiguity and confusion as conditions that are both unsettling and full of potential.
Numerous key galleries, museums and art fairs have featured Nancy Lupo’s works in the past, including: Spazio VEDA, Florence, Italy (Duo, 2022); Kristina Kite Gallery, Los Angeles, US (Solo, 2022); LC Queisser (2022); Jan Kaps (Solo, 2021; 2019; Group, 2018); Galeria Dawid Radziszewski (Solo, 2021); MAK Center for Art and Architecture (2021); Neuer Kunstverein Wien (2021); Oxygen Biennial of Contemporary Arts (2021); Kristina Kite Gallery (Solo, 2020); CAPC Musee d’Art Contemporain (2020); Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (Solo, 2019); Los Angeles Public Art Triennal (2019); Antenna Space (Solo, 2018); Hammer Museum (2018); Palais de Tokyo (2017) among others.
