Antenna Space is pleased to announce our participation in the 2019 ART021 Contemporary Art Fair. We will be presenting the works by artist Allison Katz, Cong Cong,Guan Xiao,Louisa Gagliardi, Wang Shang and Zhou Siwei at Booth No. W32.

Allison Katz (b. Montreal, Canada, 1980), lives and works in London, UK. Recent solo exhibitions include:Muse with a short fuse, Antenna Space, Shanghai (2018); Period, Gió Marconi, Milan (2018); Diary w/o Dates, Oakville Galleries, Oakville and MIT List, Boston (2018); Posters, Billedrommet, Tønsberg (2017); We boil at different degrees, The Approach, London (2016); AKA, Gió Marconi, Milan (2016); All Is On, Kunstverein Freiburg, Freiburg (2015). Current or recent selected group exhibitions include Nightfall, Mendes Wood, Brussels (2018), Splendor Solis, The Approach, London (2018), Sputterances, Metro Pictures, New York (2017); That Continuous Thing: Artists and the Ceramics Studio, 1920–Today, Tate St. Ives (2017); in addition to collaborative projects with Fredrik Vaerslev (Bergen Kunsthall, Norway and Le Consortium, Dijon, 2016 – 2017) and DAS INSTITUT at the Serpentine Gallery (2016). Her work has been featured on the cover of The White Review, frieze, CURA, and Metropolis M magazines, in addition to articles or interviews in Art in America, Border Crossings, BOMB, and Mousse. In 2017, she was an artist-in-residence at the Mahler-LeWitt Studios in Spoleto, Italy. Her first monograph will be published by JRP Ringier in 2019.

Cong Cong lives and works in Shanghai. In 2014, she won the John Moore award (China) for excellence in painting. Her works have been put into the collection by John Moore university in Liverpool, UK. She recently held a solo exhibition “Palace” in Antenna Space Shanghai.

Guan Xiao, born in 1983, currently works and lives in Beijing. The art practice of Guan Xiao mainly focuses on sculpture, video and installations. She uses her own identity, history and geographical background as material, to collage with the increasingly converging world conditions in the current high-speed decomposition, attempts to emphasize the importance of differences by creating or directly or tactfully contradiction; And to express her understanding of the importance of differences through various themes. She graduated from the Communication University of China. She has since held solo exhibitions at Bonner Kunstverein (2019); CAM St.Louis(2019); Kunsthalle Winterthur (2018); K11 Art Space, Shanghai; ICA, London; CAPC, Bordeaux and Jeu de Paume, Paris (all 2016). Her work has also been presented within significant group surveys including the 57th Venice Biennale (2017); the 9th Berlin Biennale (2016); 13th Biennale de Lyon (2015) and the New Museum Triennial, New York (2015).

Louisa Gagliardi (b. 1989) currently lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland. Recent institutional exhibitions include No Fear of Fainting in a Gym, Kunsthalle Sankt Gallen, Sankt-Gallen, CH; Being There, Louisiana Museum, Humlebaek, Denmark and La Vitesse des Images, Instituto Svizzero, Roma, IT; Under The Weather, art center MOSTYN,Llandudno, Wales.

Wang Shang,Born in 1984, Beijing. Lives and works in Beijing. Zhou Siwei, born in 1981 in Chongqing, China, lives and works in Shanghai, China. Zhou Siwei is a graduate of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, Chongqing, China. His work has been shown internationally at K11 Art Foundation, Hong Kong (2018); Antenna Space, Shanghai (2017, solo); Guangzhou Triennial (2017); Urs Meile, Lucerne (2015, solo); Aike-Dellarco, Shanghai (2014); Boers-Li Gallery, Beijing (2014); White Space, Beijing (2013); M50 Art Space, Shanghai (2013); Space Station, Beijing (2012); Ray Hughest Gallery, Sydney (2009); Centre Culturel de Rencontre Abbaye de Neumünster (CCRN), Luxembourg (2008); 82 Republic, Hongkong (2007); The 3rd Guiyang Biennial, Guizhou (2007); Nanjing Museum, Nanjing (2005); Artist Commune, Hong Kong (2004).
